I write essays, memoir and fiction on a range of subjects, which include gender, health, race, religion, sexuality and politics. My poem State Library Lawn won the 2016 Stonnington Prize and an excerpt of my forthcoming memoir was shortlisted for the 2014 Scribe Nonfiction Prize for Young Writers.
I have a Bachelor of Communication (Creative Writing) with Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) from Monash University, and will commence PhD research in 2018. I have studied writing at workshops run by Writers Victoria, The Wheeler Centre, The Monthly Masterclasses, The NSW Writers’ Centre, the University of New Mexico’s Summer Writers’ Conference (USA) and Mont Blanc Writing Workshop (France).
I am available for consultations, presentations and mentoring, and can facilitate writing workshops for all age groups.
